These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the services provided by 1st Fire Safety ("we", "our", or "us"). By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
2. Services
1st Fire Safety provides professional fire safety services including but not limited to:
Fire risk assessments
Fire safety training courses
PAT (Portable Appliance Testing)
Fire alarm system design and installation
Fire safety consultation and advice
All services are provided by qualified and registered fire safety professionals in accordance with UK fire safety regulations.
3. Service Area
Our primary service area covers Worcestershire and Herefordshire. Services may be available in surrounding areas by prior arrangement. Please contact us to confirm service availability in your location.
4. Quotations and Pricing
All quotations are valid for the period stated in the quotation document. Prices are subject to change without notice until a formal agreement is entered into.
Fixed-price quotations will be honored for the duration stated. Any additional work requested beyond the original scope may incur additional charges, which will be discussed and agreed upon before proceeding.
5. Payment Terms
Payment terms will be specified in your service agreement or quotation. Generally:
Payment is due within the timeframe specified in your invoice
Late payment may result in interest charges and suspension of services
We reserve the right to request a deposit before commencing work
6. Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellation policies vary by service type:
Training courses: Cancellation with at least 7 days notice may be eligible for a full refund or rescheduling
Assessments and consultations: Cancellation terms will be specified in your service agreement
Completed services: Refunds are not available for services that have been completed and delivered
Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule a service.
7. Client Responsibilities
To enable us to provide our services effectively, you agree to:
Provide accurate and complete information about your premises and requirements
Grant reasonable access to your premises for assessments and inspections
Ensure a safe working environment for our staff
Comply with any reasonable requests or instructions related to the service
Make payment in accordance with agreed terms
8. Professional Standards
We are committed to providing professional services in accordance with:
UK fire safety legislation and regulations
Industry best practices and standards
Our professional qualifications and certifications (IFSM Tier Two Fire Risk Assessor - TFRAR)
However, fire safety compliance is ultimately the responsibility of the property owner or responsible person. Our assessments and recommendations are advisory in nature.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Our liability is limited to the value of the service provided
We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special damages
We are not responsible for any loss or damage arising from failure to implement our recommendations
We maintain appropriate professional indemnity insurance
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Intellectual Property
All reports, documents, and materials created by us in the course of providing services remain our intellectual property until full payment is received. Upon full payment, you will receive a license to use these materials for your business purposes. We retain the right to use anonymized data for professional development and industry analysis.
11. Confidentiality
We will treat all information provided by you as confidential and will not disclose it to third parties except as required by law or with your express consent. We may share information with regulatory bodies if required for compliance purposes.
12. Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, or other force majeure events.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
